I can’t believe it has actually comes to an end, the journey I started and now I have reached my destination. A very fruitful journey where I have learnt new things and useful experiences. But as I knew it was my last day I walked down the corridor feeling sad because I have come so far, and I said to myself, goodbye corridor, the same one that I walked in, at first nervous and now I walk in with a pride that I fueled by the fact that I worked for one of Seychelles important sector.

Ever wonder how a wind turbine works? Or how PUC generates electricity? Well I had a chance to see how they work and also had a little adventure along the way. My journey began at Eden Jetty with Cynthia one of the coworker who accompanied me on this adventurous tour. We headed to Romaine Ville Island to see the turbines. As we waited for the boat Cynthia explained to me a bit about wind turbines and how it works and the amount of time it took to get the ideal location to place these turbines.
My name is Chloe Charles. I am 20 years old and I live at Les Mamelles. I was selected to join the Blue Economy Internship to help out and live up my dream to help our ecosystem. I was sent to the Seychelles Air Force to see how they contribute to the Blue Economy.
Day one: Tuesday 29th August was my first day at the Seychelles Air Force. I was unable to do much today but I had to attend the Aviation classes to fully understand the training and procedures that are in place. My week at Seychelles Energy Commission (SEC) was full of tasks, compiling data, research about renewable energy and what SEC is doing to achieve their goal to make Seychelles run on 100% renewable energy. That is indeed a big goal to achieve, but I know it is possible and will happen. SEC works with different other organisations to build an even better greener Seychelles. And I had a chance to see and spend a day with one of those organisations and it was worth it.
