Hey it’s me again Gaelle. Exciting days end fast and with a blink of an eye the year ends too. Second and last week at SFA but my journey does not end here. These two memorable weeks guided me towards my future goals, giving me a clear idea of what to expect next. As a young intern I had the chance to discover, observe and participate in sea activities at SFA. I am not too satisfied with how some of us Seychellois take everything for granted, we humans are dominant species and we run it all. Reality is we want more, we want money and with that we unfortunately destroy innocent lives. Let us think about global warming and how pitiful it is to see endangered species dying of humidity. Oil exploitation is affecting our underwater species killing them without mercy. It is all a mess and what do we do? Protection is of course better than cure. We all love Seychelles and it is time we develop the economy and help protect our marine environment. Each and every one of us plays a role in our society, hands together nothing is impossible. I know I am not alone in this because Seychelles holds a lot of Eco warriors. My unforgettable days were busy ones. Who said it was going to be easy? Well it was “my” adventures and “my” missions. I’m not good at goodbyes but my adventure does not end here. It was 2 wonderful weeks of learning more about Seychelles waters. Working with my new work colleagues made work easier and more understandable. Thank you SFA
