Hi, so it’s me again...on our 4th day of our internship we had a long bus ride to the Department for Continental Shelf Maritime Zones Administration and Exploration. It was really interesting as we learned so many new things such as the 3 sectors of the Department and many more. The 3 sectors are: •Maritime Sovereignty and Territorial Integrity. •Maritime Zones Administration and Use. •Seabed Exploration for Hydrocarbon and Minerals. And the function of the Department is to ensure the effective management of its maritime zones and to delineate/establish it’s maritime zones in accordance with International laws and convention's and also the establishment of legal framework governing the sustainable management of the non-living resources including hydrocarbon and minerals. And we also learned a lot about the Joint Management Area of Mauritius and Seychelles which is very interesting I may say. In the afternoon after another long exhausting bus ride we went to visit the Four Seasons Resort we're by we had another amazing experience. Four Seasons has this Golden Rule that “ We treat others as we would have them treat us” And a Brand Vision that “Where highly customized service meets local culture to create lasting memorise” which has helped them to maintain their level of good quality service. Which also falls under the Four pillars of success: -Quality -Service -Culture -Brand WiseOceans presentation showed us that the coral reefs are extremely old and are home to almost a quarter of all marine life which some of us already knew but still interested us as we learned that irresponsible tourism/anchor damage And coral bleaching is what we should take reconsideration of finding solutions to stop/prevent it. That’s all for today everyone have a nice day see you next time By Alexandra Payet;)
