The SIDS Youth AIMS Hub - Seychelles joined the international organisation Positive Change for Marine Life in Australia in a Marine Debris Challenge. This involved conducting a series of beach clean ups across the country including islands such as Silhouette and Cousin Island leading up to Earth Day. Together with the beach clean ups in the lead up to Earth Day, the Hub has carried out 12 clean ups in one year, that is the equivalent of one clean up per month to protect the ocean and its marine life from the human waste which we so easily leave near our shores and threatening the very resource we are so reliant on.
